Goalsetting

Do you have long-term projects with short-term expectations? If you do, that is a sure path to frustration and failure.

In today´  s world, there is E-mail, Whatsapp, Skype, Slack, etc. that have made a “waiting” period unacceptable and almost obsolete. Information in any form is available whenever you need it.

Society and Media make you believe that you deserve immediate satisfaction and that you can reach your goals in no time.

You realize that this is utter rubbish, right?!

Let me put it this way if you want to grow a plant you start with planting the seeds in the garden or a plant pot, give them water, hope for sunlight and look after them. But are you looking after yourself?

The point I am trying to make is, move gently towards your goals and take a steady approach. Break your long-term goals into smaller achievable bite-size goals. Coming back to my plant example: Choose the right spot, prepare the soil, plant the seeds, water wisely, maintain consistent moisture, fertilize, give the seedlings enough light... You get the gist.

Give yourself time to accomplish your goals. Every little sub goal will contribute to the successful completion of your main goal.
